  1. Do not think dishonestly
  1. Study hard
  2. Learn every technique
  3. Learn all you can of other professions
  4. Distinguish between gain and loss
  5. Develop intuitive judgement
  6. Perceive things below the surface
  7. Pay attention to trifles
  8. Do nothing which is of no use
